The key-date for the silver Roosevelt dime series, this 1949-S has a spotty dark gray and russet colored tone with hints of dark red and green covers this dime on both sides.
It has a very good strike and details. Most of the torch lines are clear and present, but some of the detail is lost under the dark tone and the lower band line is not present.
Despite everything, there are no serious contact marks on either side. However, considering the tone, this coin perhaps should grade on the lower end of MS 67, maybe MS 66. Overall, the biggest problem with this dime is the color.
