Owner Comments:

O.110a Eliasberg. "This is a very nice GEM Bust Half with that ORIGINAL Eliasberg look. The surfaces are super clean and have a sandy layer of off-golden brown toning. Some luster is visible. Miss Liberty and the details are remarkably struck. The eye appeal is nice! PCGS 3, NGC 8. ... We really can't stress how rare a coin like this 1819 is. NGC has only graded a single coin higher," per Legend Morphy cataloger.Obtained from Legend-Morphy Auctions on 4/11/2013, Lot 122. According to Elaisberg cataloger, "Sharply detailed. Lustrous golden gray with faint blue and red highlights. Very attractive. A find for the specialist. Die notes: Light clash marks appear as faint vertical bars at the ear. Light die cracks connect the tops of most letters and 50. Edge: OR and HALF overlap as OALF." Bowers and Merena Auction of the Louis E. Elaisberg Sr. Collection, April 7, 1997, Lot 1763.
