NGC- 1951 (P)hiladelphia MS-66 with Fullsteps!

One Tough-Date that's hard to acquire in a quality strike, but also very elusive to find with fullsteps. Ngc
been considered the most strict of top two grading services when it comes to grading the fullstep area.
Ngc has only certified (16) whereas for the Pcgs grading service has (14) that made it also to this high grade.

I bought one of these earlier this year, however' it was lacking eye appeal. I wanted one that I'd be
completely satisfied with. So, persistance and determination I thought would definitely be needed here,
finding one that would make a complete fullstep coin. Every collector has their own view-points and the way
they acquire their coins.

Finally', In July of 2012' my patience paid off. Check out, both-sides of this beauty, it looks great in eye appeal
with quality fields with fullsteps to boot! The photos above is an eye-catcher!

Ben Nagengast: It isn't known when the first specialist believed a high grade fullstep- coin would be given a pass
port to be added to a collection. In early 1950's a well known New York collector' Warren Snow- which discovered
and found interest in searching out (Steps) on the nickel, in that time the members of a coin club he attended also
found their amusement to it, calling it just a waste of time.

I can understand club-members thoughts back then, the 1950's and 60's were really the worst two decades of the
entire Jefferson series. Trying to search out and find a quality strike back in that time, showing clean fullsteps would have certainly been a real challenge .

Oh' you might want to stop by your local drug store,to pick up some energy pills and no-doze looking for these
elusive pieces.
