GEM MS 65 1908 Liberty Head Half Eagle in a new NGC holder. Lovely GEM Gold coin in good condition with a sharp strike. 1908 was the final year of Liberty Head Half Eagle coins as production was switched to the new Indian Head Half Eagle coins in the latter part of 1908. The Philadelphia mint produced 421,874 of these 90% Gold Libert Head coins. Most of these coins graded to date by NGC are at the Uncirculated MS 62 level or below. NGC Total: 5593 / MS 65 Total: 260 / Better: 55
