Nearly PERFECT PF 69 Ultra Cameo 1968 S Silver Clad Kennedy Half Dollar in an old NGC holder. This coin is bright white with an ultra sharp strike. In 1968 the San Francisco mint produced just over 3 Million of these 40% Proof Silver Kennedy Half Dollar coins. From 1965-1970 the following standards applied to Kennedy Half Dollars: Weight 11.50 grams; Outer Layer Composition .800 Silver and .200 Copper; Inner Core .209 Silver and .791 Copper with a net weight of .1479 oz. pure Silver (40% of the total weight). Over 70% of these coins graded to date by NGC are at the PF 68 Ultra Cameo level or below. It is always nice to obtain an Ultra Cameo version of this coin.
