Owner Comments:

A stunning premium gem with gold-rainbow toning on both the obverse and the reverse. The toning outlines the Indian's hair, feathers, neck and shoulders as if he has the sunset at his back. Sharply struck, this matte proof, Type 1, first-year-of-issue coin boasts a well-deserved star designation from NGC for exceptional eye appeal. Toning on the reverse highlights the buffalo's face, horns, crown and his first glimpse of the sunrise on the plains before him. A beautiful coin that well represents the final 'proof' of its engraver's vision.
