1808- NGC unc details, improperly cleaned, scratched. Formerly PCGS Genuine 14535554 Damaged(rim ding?). Prior to that it was slabbed as NCS 5046675-003 (unc details) and before that it was slabbed as NCS 5130412-001 (unc details). Each of these sales resulted in a slightly lower sale price. I hope this trend stops. A nice coin with a reverse that would probably grade MS63 as it does not appear to have been cleaned. However, the obverse has a few faint scratches (not apparent in the photo) from a very minor cleaning and a small rim ding at 2 o'clock that prevent the assignment of a numerical grade. It is otherwise well struck and lustrous. Interestingly, I have seen coins of this type with more noticable scratches that have received a numerical grade.
