Owner Comments:
NGC MS64 DPL
Very attractive with much desired features: a strong strike and cameo contrast. It is held back from gem by a few noticeable contact marks in the obverse and reverse fields. Still, it is very PQ and a great coin to position in the set considering the price differential in stepping up one numerical grade for little advancement in quality.
What I especially like about this coin is the quality of the cameo presentation on both sides. It is first hard enough to locate a two-sided cameo. Try finding a black and white cameo that is matched so well on obverse and reverse. Though as the owner I am a little biased, I find it hard to not call this one a gem. But the folks at the grading services really nitpick the details when you go from 64 to 65.
Also of note is that the set includes the only mint state prooflike of the elusive 7/6-O (VAM-3) variety. It is currently in an ANACS MS62PL slab and is close to DMPL. NGC recently slabbed one at AU58PL. Mine one should be crossed over at some point.
