Obverse
This is a nice example of the Denver Mint product of the day. They struck the coins with excessive force to adequately "strike up" the image. As a result the Denver coins of 1922 and 1923 have wonderful die cracks. One coin I have has a near circumferential crack. This coin has a modest die crack from the base of Miss Liberty extending in to the left field. The Denver Mint was hard on dies up until the 1926 issues. This (1922) is the year of the famous 1922-D "no D" cent, again the result of rough die management.
