1874 50C Arrows PR67 Cameo NGC. This is the Small Arrows or Short Arrows variety, depending on which reference is consulted. Whether you want to call it the Short Arrows variety as did Breen, or the Small Arrows variety per Wiley and Bugert, it is important to note that business strike examples of this variety are seldom encountered. Therefore, the surviving Proofs provide the best opportunity for the advanced variety collector. Not only is this a candidate for the variety collector, but it will also suit the date or type collector. Seldom are examples of this date or type found in such preservation.
There are a total of 17 cameos graded, this one being the finest known./08
