Finally broke down and snagged one! This is an honestly worn coin with minimal distracting marks and even wear. Nice toning that is not too dark and allows the remaining luster to shine through. As all true bust nuts know, this is not a 50/20, but a 50 over inverted 5. Decent strike and almost full dentilation.1807 was the year the steamboat is invented (Robert Fulton). Thomas Jefferson is President. US congress enacts the Embargo Act against Britain for violation of American Rights on the High Seas. And, of course, the design on Half Dollars changes to the Capped Bust!
