Owner Comments:

NGC graded MS 65 BN
Variety: N-10

This is a nicely struck cent, with a lot of original color for a BN designation, especially on the reverse. There are several tiny spots of darker toning, and a small trace of fingerprint on the reverse. Contact marks are trivial and few.

I purchased this coin from an August 2007 Superior auction.

From the Superior catalog:
1845 Coronet Head Cent. NGC graded MS65 BR. N-10, R.1.
A bold striking with rich remnants of cherry-red luster in the recesses surrounding the devices, changing to blue-brown on the highpoints and exposed fields. Apparently, this one just missed a Red and Brown designation at NGC. One of the nicer 1845 large cents we have encountered
