Owner Comments:
$6400 Popular Civil War dated Proof Seated Half in Gem Cameo condition with remarkably deep mirrors and excellent cameo contrast. The coin is essentially white throughout and displays wonderful white frosty cameoed devices. There is a small strike through of a thread in the right obverse field. There is also a very faint dusting of patination in the lower right obverse field. A mere 500 of these were originally minted and are prized by collectors with their connection to the end of the Civil War in 1865.
