Obv: Madison studying the Bill of Rights.Rev: Madison quote, an eagle, torch, and laurel branch.This $5 Gold Coin commemorates the first ten amendments, known as The Bill Of Rights, to the US Constitution, and the part that James Madison played in supporting them. The sale of gold and silver coins in this program raised more the $9 Million that was given to the James Madison Memorial Fellowship Trust Fund to support teaching and graduate study of the US Constitution. This is the Proof version of the $5 Gold Commemorative coin, and was minted at the West Point Mint.
