Owner Comments:

It is my latest addition to my set (bought on 10/25/2006). It is one of "key" coins for the set. Even though the circulation mintage was 5 Million coins, most of them were melted. Hence, even the circulated coins from this year and mint are scarce. Unlike other examples of the San Francisco Mint the striking is soft. The population 1 of 45 with 653 graded higher by NGC as of 2/2007. There were only 848 coins graded for that year and Mint. This coin fills the slot for the year and mint. It has a natural dark color. However, underneath it there is a nice looking coin for the grade. The higher graded examples of that year and mint are unreasonably priced for me at this time.
