This issue is characterized by a good strike, but also by many surface abrasions, sometimes very deep. Most were released into circulation, which explains the rarity in gem condition.
This coin is a VAM-2 with the "IN GOD WE TRUST" motto having been doubled on the obverse. It is the finest graded by NGC in this variety. To complement the uniqueness, the coin is bright white and incredibly lustrous with a completely full strike. There are no marks on the coin worth mentioning, and virtually nothing visible without magnification.
