Owner Comments:

1870 50C light russet-gold patination on both sides with silver-gold centers. The surfaces are mostly pristine, although a couple of the shield stripes are weakly impressed, and there is a small apparent planchet flaw through the right (facing) shield corner and Liberty's upper right thigh. One of only 1,000 proofs minted in this year. Census: PCGS 11/4, NGC 12/10 finer (6/06).
