Winged Liberty Head or "Mercury" Type 1916-1945. Designed by Adolph A. Weinman whose monogram AW appears right of the neck. Composition: .900 silver, .100 copper. Diameter: 17.9 mm, reeded edge. Mintage: 205,432,329 which includes 22,329 proof coins. On 07/04/06 (purchase date) PCGS had no PR 68's graded. NGC had 6 PF 68's out of 3,248 graded. Only one PF 69 grades higher than this coin. The coin was purchased in an auction for $1,579.75 from David Lawrence Rare Coins (DLRC).
