1823/2 JR-3, R.2. The underdigit is quite pronounced on this overdate, with remnants of the 2 seen inside, below, and behind the lower loop of the 3. In addition to the large E's on the reverse, E1 is above T1, and the D in UNITED is punched over a previous E, unlike Reverse A for this popular overdate issue. This particular coin displays excellent mint luster and the centers of each side are generally untoned with deep russet and sea-green peripheral coloration present.
