One of three (1850, 1853, and 1854) Charlotte half eagles which are plagued by weak mintmarks, this issue is highly desirable with strong eye appeal and strong mintmark. This coin has both. Smooth fields and orange-gold coloration stand out on this particular piece. Pedigree: Eliasberg
