This Pittman pedigree coin shows wonderful orange-gold color and satiny luster over slightly rough surfaces. Overall the eye appeal is better than should be expected on this final-year issue for the quarter eagle. With probably only eight or nine mint state examples extant, this piece would be difficult to improve upon without sacrificing something in color or originality. Pedigree: Pittman
