Owner Comments:

1847 Charlotte half eagles are fairly common, but not in mint state. In fact, they become quite scarcer than expected. This piece has the typical grade limiting abrasions for an MS61 but has very pleasing color and no particularly distracting marks. The strike is slightly above average and shows strong detail where weakness would be expected on most Charlotte pieces.
