Owner Comments:

1856-C quarter eagles are different. They don't have that same Charlotte-gold look and feel, and fittingly this piece is a little rustic in appearance. The color and luster are satiny honey-gold, and quite attractive, but over a slightly rough planchet. For an issue that is extremely difficult to find with good eye appeal, this coin has it - especially for a modest MS61 numeric grade.
