Purchased on 12/18/2012. This is a silver medal minted in 1962 at the Mexico City mint. It is cataloged in Grove volume 2 as medal number 800A. Diameter 36mm I Centenario de la Batalla del 5 de Mayo. OBVERSE: Equestrian statue of General Ignacio Zaragoza. Heroica Batalla Del 5 De Mayo De 1862-Puebla Centenario. REVERSE: National Eagle. Mexico City mint mark on obverse.
