Owner's Description

Medal, 1958, BZ, T. ROOSEVELT NATL MEMORIAL PARK, United States, North Dakota, HK-526, Bronze So Called Dollar, NGC MS66, Cert# 2597790-017. Size: 38 mm. According to the 2008 Hibler-Kappen reference, 10,000 medals of this design were struck by Medallic Art Company to celebrate the centennial of Theodore Roosevelt's birth. The current Example is a superb representative of this issue. Privately issued and designed by Ida Prokop Lee, sculptress of Valley City, North Dakota. Roosevelt's park was created in 1947. Obv. Male bust portrait facing, microscopic "Roosevelt", outside THEODORE ROOSEVELT CENTENNIAL. Rv.
