Owner's Description

Roman Republic AR Denarius P. Crepuslius: 82 BC: Sear #283: Cr. 261/1 Grade: AU: Strike 4/5: Surface 5/5 Obv.: Bust Laureate head of Apollo right, sceptre and letter on left, M, symbol below chin, probably a clump of grapes on a vine Rev.: Horseman galloping right, hurling spear, on left numeral, CVII, in exergue P.CREPVSI. Census - NGC does not provide census info on ancient coins :>( Roman Republic coinage of the family Crepusia This coin may only be an AU specimen but I totally love it and think it is a super specimen. The color/toning implies the surfaces maybe natural or at least untouched for a very long period. The obverse and reverse are nicely centered with the obverse having a superior strike. My cost for this coin was $161
