Owner's Description

This slot contains a nice collection of Off-Center Coins. The Jefferson Nickel is a Uniface-Reverse. All others are Die Struck on Both Sides(DSBS). - The Off-Center struck coin is probably the best known error. This type of error can be found in every Type, Series and Demonination of coins made for general circulation. This error occurs when the Planchet fails to enter the coin chamber and comes to rest on top of the collar with a portion of the Planchet exposed to the striking dies. When the dies strike the exposed portion of the planchet, the image will be stamped into the coin and the unexposed part of the Planchet will remain featureless.
