Owner's Description

This is a PR-66 War nickel. It's one of my favorite modern coins, and I think this issue is underrated. <br /><br /><br /><br />The mint started to produce the War Nickel on October 8, 1942 after it was determined that nickel was a strategic war material. Only 27,600 of these unusual type coins were issued in Proof.
