Owner's Description

1859-S Double Eagle, Lustrous AU58 Rare Any Finer
1859-S $20 AU58 NGC. This near-Mint State example retains a considerable amount of luster on its yellow-gold surfaces and has benefited from a good strike. Close examination reveals some scattered light marks, but these are not particularly distracting. This is a very rare issue in Mint State. Census: 93 in 58, only 20 finer (12/13).
