Owner's Description

The 1891 is a low mintage issue, and is scarce in MS64 with only four coins graded finer. This is a well struck and highly lustrous representative with clean surfaces aside from moderate marks near stars 1 and 3. Die clashes are evident by Liberty’s throat and below the eagle’s beak. Subdued satin luster is present on the obverse and booming frosty cartwheel luster emanates from the reverse. The color is orange-gold with olive highlights on the obverse and rich rose gold toning on the reverse. Heritage 6/08: 2023.
