Owner's Description

As with most half eagles minted in San Francisco during this period, the strike is strong. There is only slight weakness on the reverse arrow feathers. The mintmark is medium and was imprinted somewhat softly in the dies; it is not as bold as the other design elements. The luster is plentiful and frosty. The color is honey-gold. Heritage 9/10: 5349.
