Owner's Description

Winter Variety 1, Die State II. This piece is minimally abraded with no sizeable or otherwise individually distracting handling marks. The color is a rich shade of olive-gold that, at direct angles, reveals equally pleasing orange-gold highlights intermingled throughout. There are also mottled copper-red peripheral highlights. Well struck with a pleasing frosty luster. The reverse is rotated slightly counter clockwise. Purchased from Doug Winter; ex: Bowers & Merena 6/08: 3673.
NOTE: The hazy patches on the reverse are on the holder, not on the coin.
