Owner's Description

This is a very rare 1878-S in the GSA soft pack. There are only 4 coins graded for this date and mint mark in the GSA soft pack, and this is the lowest graded by far. I am very happy to finally get this date, but I would really like an uncirculated version. There are only 3 uncirculated coins graded, and I have been trying to locate one for the last 6 years unsuccessfully. So I decided to go for this one, with the hope that someday I will be able to upgrade. Acquired in August of 2012 in ungraded condition. A nice circulated obverse, but the reverse is pretty worn. I was pretty happy to get a very good grade on it.
