Owner's Description

(1925-1968) Was Attorney General of The United States from 1961-1964 and a US Senator from New York from 1965-1968. He was Appointed to his cabinet position by his brother John F. Kennedy The President of The United States.
He was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan in 1968 in L.A. while campaining for the nomination for President.The Commemorative Silver Dollar was issued to commemorate the life and work. The obverse is a likeness of Kennedy and the reverse has the seal of the Department of Justice and the United States.

D.C. Stadium in Washington was renamed Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in 1969. YES IT'S TRUE: In 1978 the United States Congress posthumously awarded Kennedy its Gold Medal of Honor.
FAST FACT: After President John Kennedy appointed Robert Kennedy Attorney General of the United States, Congress passed a law that basically says the President of the United States cannot appoint a family member to his cabinet.
