Owner's Description

This commemorative features Generals George C. Marshall, and Dwight D. Eisenhower. It is part of a three coin program that will honor all five of the 5 Star Generals of the US Army. Obverse is of Marshall and Eisenhower, and the reverse features the Leavenworth Lamp.

The 2013 5 Star Generals Silver Dollar was released on March 21, 2013. The obverse which was designed by Richard Masters show Generals Marshall and Eisenhower, while the reverse designed by Barbara Fox has the Leavenworth Lamp. Philadelphia struck the proof version of this coin while West Point minted the uncirculated version.
This coin program also celebrates the 132nd anniversary of the United States Army Command and General Staff College where each of the generals either taught or attended.
