Owner's Description

The West Point Military Academy, is located in upstate New York. About 50 miles north west of New York City.
The cadets receive a bachelor of science upon graduation and are usually commissioned a second lieutenants in the United States Army.
DID YOU KNOW? After being graduated and commissioned, cadets may cross-commission. That is being assigned to other armed services, so long as they meet that branch of service's requirements Only two Presidents, Ulyssses S. Grant and Dwight D. Eisenhower are alumni of the United States Military Academy.

Fittingly the 2002 West Point Silver Dollar Commemorative Coins were struck at the US Mint in West Point, New York. Proof and uncirculated versions were produced and sold individually. The one half million maximum authorized mintage was nearly reached with nearly 400,000 struck combined. This design and subject matter was very popular with collectors.
