The 2010 Boy Scouts Centennial Silver Dollar was issued to honor and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. The obverse of the coin features images of three people, Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and a Girl Scout saluting. The centennial years of 1910 and 2010 are inscribed along with "Continuing the Journey", among normal required inscriptions.
The reverse of the coin features the logo of the Boy Scouts and the motto "Be Prepared".
The design of this coin was criticized by some collectors for the inclusion of a female scout. The design however was advocated for it's order to reflect diversity. The 2010 Boy Scout Centennial Silver Dollar Commemorative was authorized and the Girl Scout Commemorative was subsequently authorized to produce a coin in 2013.
