Owner's Description

The Mint produced two Silver Dollars to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin. The first is as a young man the scientist. The obverse designed by Norman E. Nemeth, and the reverse was designed by Charles L. Vickers. The obverse is a image showing Franklin with his kite during his experimentation with lightning. The reverse is that of his famous cartoon of a sliced snake.
