Owner's Description

The 2012 Star Spangled Banner Silver Dollar commemorative coin was put on sale at the Mint on March 5, 2012. It was issued to commemorate the War of 1812. and was particularly for the Battle of Baltimore that was the basis for the National Anthem, I.E.The Star Spangled Banner.
The obverse which was designed by Joel Iskowitz, shows a 15 star and 15 striped flag being waved by Liberty.
The reverse shows a modern flag flying which was designed by William C. Burgard II.
