Owner's Description

The 1996 Olympic Rowing Silver Dollar was issued as part of the extensive coin program for the Atlanta Olympics.
The obverse was designed by Bart Forbes, and the reverse design was by Thomas D. Rogers.
The mintage for the Olympic coins never came close to the maximum allowed of 1 million, they just struck slightly over 100,000.
Rowing was one of 16 coins for the Atlanta Olympics. The program had clad, silver and gold released over a 2 yr. timeframe. Obverse features 4 men rowing, and the reverse shows the mark of the Atlanta Olympic committee..
