Owner's Description

Benjamin Harrison, who served a single term as President from 1889 through 1893, was the grandson of President William Henry Harrison, they are the only Grandfather-Grandson to be Presidents. Harrison was always haunted by the specter of his grandfather, who by this time had become somewhat of a legend. Harrison was inaugurated at Federal Hall in New York City, the same place as George Washington, exactly 100 years after Washington. Harrisons election was controversial because while Cleveland had won the popular vote, Harrison became President because he won in the Electoral College. Harrison was known to have a glacial personality, which alienated all his supporters and cost him a second term.
