Owner's Description

THIS COIN: An original GEM coin has clean, smooth surfaces with exceptionally well struck details. Both sides are evenly toned in a rich purple, brown and pale navy blend. Fields are reflective with strong luster. Very pleasing eye appeal.
BACKGROUND: This was the first year of issue of the Trade Dollar. Of the 396,635 coin minted, almost all were shipped to China and, therefore, most known today have chopmarks.
