Owner's Description

This coin along with the 56 & 58 P-mint 66's are ones from a Heritage auction. It has great detail and bold bell lines and all three of these coins reside in the old 6-digit prefix numbered holders from NGC. It has very attractive mottled mint set toning all around with more on the reverse than the obverse. It also has a moderate mintage with 5,114,000 coined at Philadelphia. As with the vast majority of Franklin's there are very few left today due to "massive melting". A lovely 66 that has very low populations with NGC seeing only 216 coins in all grades with full bell lines. This coin is one of 40 in MS-66 FBL and only two graded higher by a single point coming in at MS-67 FBL. A very scarce coin that in this high of grade, I feel very fortunate to own.
