Owner's Description

Again the mintage for this year appears high at 20,900,400 but most have been melted and the ones that are left that are gem-65 or better are few and far between. And like most every year, the drab dull mint set toning is the norm with color coins and coins like this "Blast White" example are the exception to the rule. This 1953-D is as pristine and flawless as the day it was minted. A truely gorgeous example of a mid 50's Franklin with bold bell lines.
