Owner's Description

This 2nd lowest mintage Franklin is a coin I have waited 6 years to obtain. I have looked at at least 75 coins before this one became available at auction. I think that with this very close to brilliant specimen I am finally able to see "daylight" at the end of the tunnel in finishing this series in MS-65 with full bell lines. This was truely a lucky find and at a great price too. This is a "very rare" coin this nice. This is "one" of 34 coins at NGC graded MS-65 with Full Bell Lines with "two" graded higher by a single point. NGC has only seen & graded a total of 112 of this date/mint in "ALL" grades of "full bell lines". The only coin in the series that is harder to find in full bell lines is the 1953-S. It stands today as the "Holy Grail" of the entire Franklin 35 coin series. The entire 1953 run from all three mints were a group of coins that were on the average, very "weakly struck" so to get a 65 that also is one with FBL, I can't begin to tell you how lucky I feel. One "heck of a coin".
