Owner's Description

I have been looking for an acceptable coin to fill this slot for almost three and a half years. One in mint state 64 or 65 with "full bell lines". Cost has also been a factor as this coin usually brings a price well "north" of $200 in ms-64 and prices between $400 & $550 in 65-FBL. Tonight (10/4/09) the wait came to an end with a very nice coin coming available on "Heritage" Sunday night auction. The coin is not a "brilliant white" piece but has some nice speckled "mint set toning" and well defined full bell lines. For what it's worth, a "CAC" sticker as well. This is only my second "CAC" coin with my other being a MS-66 Walker half. I am very happy to have filled this slot with such a worthy coin. I am beginning to see the end in sight to completing this set with all MS-65 Full Bell Line "Franklins". This coin was purchased for $270+fees. A very good deal for a very nice coin and an added plus is that it is an "NGC" graded full bell line coin which in the opinion of those "in the know" the "stricter" grader of the "big two" when it comes to full bell line Franklin halves.
