Owner's Description

Welcome to the Hotel California! That song pops into my mind every time I see this coin. The San Fransico mint can take pride in this beautiful coin. California is blessed with a variety of gold, striking mountain ranges, warm weather and deserts, Hollywood, among other things. I have found it strangely appealing that John Wayne Airport (Orange County) has sound/noise restrictions. The plane take-off incorporates a deceleration and angling of the plane that makes this flight a real roller coaster. The area (Long Beach, CA) is also where the Queen Mary is available for tours and the location of Howard Hughes first and only flight of the Spruce Goose. I'd go back to sit on the Silver Strand and tan!
