Set Description:
I started this set off with just the Capped Bust Halves, but thinking about it more I've come to realize that I want to collect them all. I love the half dollar - to me, it is the perfect balance between size, quantity, scarcity, availability, demand, and attractiveness. I originally started with the Franklin half, but am beginning to move into other series. When I started putting this set together, I knew that I wanted to get that perfect circulated look - what my friend michael on teh NGC chat boards lovingly refers to as Gem Circulated Cameo. You know the look: a dark grey, original, circulated coin with lighter high points. As you probably also know, finding these coins is very difficult. I look at many halves before I finally buy one for my collection. I hope you enjoy looking at this set! It is my goal to have good descriptions and great pictures for every coin, so that others can share in the enjoyment that I get from these coins.
I also have: 1827 O-140, R4+, raw VF-35 1830 O-112, R4+, raw EF-40 1834 O-112, R3, ANACS EF-45 1835 O-109, R2, raw EF-40
