For the British Guiana Bank the SCWPM only mentions a 1902 issue which comprises of just three specimen notes - $5, $20 and $100. These are in the style of the Bank of England home issues and are dated 18__ suggesting they had been prepared for some time. The bank offices were located in the capital Georgetown, the centre of economic activity in the colony, and indicated by ‘Demerera’ in the text on this representative $20 note.
