Owner's Description

The example note for this Set is a 50 pesos (S301s2, M364r1), printed by the ABNC, which is cancelled with a needle punched 'AMORTIZADO' and it seems to be common for the Guerrero issues that the tops of the letters are missing - I guess they couldn't be bothered to fix the punch. It is a Series B note which was printed in 1914 and it appears that serial numbers 10001 to 14000 were issued yet the remainder of the run 140001 to 20000 was not, no doubt due to yet another revolutionary war. The front of the note has a portrait of Vicente Guerrero and the back of the note has a scene overlooking the largest city in the State, the major port of Acapulco - which entered popular culture as the playground of the rich and famous and the only place I was aware of in the State.
